Terms & Conditions

Certified Finance Leader (CFL) Institute

Effective Date: 01/01/2026

By applying for, registering for, or sitting for the Certified Finance Leader (CFL) examination, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility & Application

Submission of an application does not guarantee certification. The CFL Institute reserves the right to approve or deny applications at its discretion.

All information provided must be accurate and truthful. Misrepresentation may result in denial, revocation, or permanent ineligibility.

2. Exam Administration & Monitoring

The CFL examination is administered through a secure, proctored online testing platform.

By registering for the exam, candidates expressly consent to:

  • AI-based monitoring and behavioral analysis during the examination

  • Webcam image capture and activity logging

  • Browser and session monitoring

  • Recording of testing activity for integrity review

  • Review of exam sessions and related data by human evaluators

Monitoring is conducted to protect the integrity and credibility of the CFL designation.

Failure to comply with monitoring requirements may result in exam invalidation.

3. Examination Integrity

Candidates may not:

  • Copy, record, photograph, or reproduce exam content

  • Share exam questions or answers

  • Use unauthorized materials or assistance

  • Attempt to manipulate monitoring systems

The CFL Institute reserves the right to invalidate results, deny certification, or revoke previously issued credentials in cases of suspected misconduct.

4. Retakes & Refunds

All fees are non-refundable.

Candidates who do not pass the examination may retake the exam in accordance with CFL retake guidelines.

5. Credential Use

Upon successful completion, certificants may use the designation “CFL” in accordance with Institute guidelines.

Improper or misleading use of the designation may result in disciplinary action or revocation.

6. Public Verification

The CFL Institute maintains a public credential verification registry that may display:

  • Full name

  • Credential ID

  • Credential status

No sensitive personal data will be published.

7. Limitation of Liability

The CFL Institute is not liable for:

  • Technical interruptions beyond reasonable control

  • Internet connectivity issues on the candidate’s side

  • Indirect or consequential damages related to exam participation

​

8. Modifications

The CFL Institute reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions. Updated versions will be posted on the website.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Il.

​

10. Acceptance

By submitting payment, accessing the exam platform, or sitting for the examination, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
